Refund Policy

1. Introduction
This policy explains when and how refunds are issued for purchases made in Acklix, including subscriptions and credit top-ups. It applies to the account that completed the purchase.
2. Scope
Acklix meters usage with credits. Refunds are calculated from the cash value of your remaining paid credits, minus processing costs. When a refund is issued, refundable credits are revoked.
3. Definitions
- Paid Credits: credits purchased via subscription billing or one-time top-ups.
- Promotional Credits: free or bonus credits. No cash value. Not refundable.
- Credit Price (USD): the price per credit displayed at purchase time.
- Processing Costs: actual card/payment network, gateway, bank, and FX fees charged on the original transaction(s).
4. Refund Window
Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the relevant purchase (subscription period start or credit top-up). Requests after 30 days are not eligible unless required by law.
5. How Refunds Are Calculated
Refundable Amount = Remaining Paid Credits × Credit Price (USD) − Processing Costs.
Refunds are sent to the original payment method. If the original payment was not in USD, the provider applies its conversion rate at refund time.
Seat or other fixed access fees are not refundable unless required by law. Only unused paid credit value is refundable.
6. Eligibility
- Request is made within 30 days of purchase.
- Account is in good standing (no policy violations, abuse, or chargebacks).
- Only remaining paid credits are counted. Promotional credits are excluded.
- Custom development, implementation, and consulting are non-refundable.
7. Subscriptions, Top-ups, and Cancellations
- Subscriptions: within the 30-day window, refunds cover the unused credit value from the current billing period. Fixed seat/access fees are not refunded.
- Top-ups: refundable based on the unspent portion within 30 days of purchase.
- Without a refund, access continues until credits are exhausted or the current billing period ends, whichever comes first.
8. How to Request a Refund
- Email refunds@acklix.com from your account email.
- Include your order ID and state whether it’s a subscription period or a top-up.
- We confirm remaining paid credits and the refundable amount. If approved, refundable credits are revoked when the refund is issued.
Processing time is typically 5–10 business days; your bank may add extra time.
9. Non-Refundable Items
- Purchases older than 30 days (unless required by law).
- Promotional/bonus credits.
- Custom development, implementation, or consulting.
- Accounts suspended for policy or legal violations.
10. Abuse and Chargebacks
We may deny refunds or revoke access in cases of abuse, excessive chargebacks, or fraud.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy. The revised date will be posted above. Material changes may be communicated in advance where practicable.
